Our Executive Leadership

Dr. Jackie Applegate is President & Chief Executive Officer of PBI-Gordon Companies, Inc. and its subsidiaries, PBI-Gordon Corporation, Pegasus Laboratories, and PetAg, Inc. Jackie joined PBI-Gordon in July 2024, after a successful career with Bayer that spanned more than 30 years.

Jackie has extensive experience in the agricultural crop and non-crop industries since beginning her career at Bayer in 1992. Starting as a formulation chemist, and eventually serving in several executive roles, she most recently served as the President of the North American Crop Science business of Bayer. She is a seasoned executive with strong operational and organizational behavior expertise and has extensive international leadership experience across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.

Jackie earned her Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Iowa State University, an Executive MBA degree from Rockhurst College, and a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Wright State University. She has served on the boards of multiple philanthropic, community and business organizations.

Eric Bur is Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of PBI-Gordon Companies, Inc. and its subsidiaries, PBI-Gordon Corporation, Pegasus Laboratories, and PetAg, Inc. He oversees Financial Planning, Accounting, and IT functions for PBI-Gordon Companies.

Eric joined the Company in 2019 as the Senior Director of Finance. He has been instrumental in offering strategic guidance for new product and growth initiatives as well as developing the Financial Planning and Analysis team that delivers valuable insights to our business leaders, helping optimize profitability.

Prior to joining PBI, Eric held the CFO role in several companies including Xact Data Discovery, Saepio Technologies, and Perceptive Software. He also served in senior financial roles at American Century Investments and Ernst & Young.

Eric graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, and is currently on the Accounting Advisory Board for KU. He has also held board positions at Rose Brooks Center and the University of Kansas Center for Entrepreneurship.

Tim Demerath is PBI-Gordon Companies’ Chief Transformation Officer, responsible for leading enterprise-wide change initiatives that drive growth, operational excellence, and competitive advantage. Demerath has served as the Vice President of Sales for PBI-Gordon Corporation since 2019. Prior to his time at PBI-Gordon Companies, he spent 10 years with Bayer CropScience. Tim earned his BA in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska.

Scott Howard is the Chief Scientific and Technical Officer for PBI-Gordon Companies and its subsidiaries PBI-Gordon Corporation, Pegasus Laboratories, PetAg, Inc. and Trivium Vet.

Howard joined the Pegasus Laboratories team in 2006 where he held roles increasing in scope and responsibility, most recently serving as the Vice President of Research and Development. In his current role, he leads the development and execution of an R&D technology roadmap, ensuring the adoption of cutting-edge technologies to accelerate and optimize R&D efforts across the organization and subsidiaries.

Mr. Howard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Auburn University and a Master of Science in Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Meghan Edwards serves as Vice President of Human Resources. Meghan joined PBI-Gordon Companies in 2024 as Director of HR with nearly two decades of HR experience at companies including The Andersons, Inc., and Target Corporation. In the short time she has been with PBI-Gordon, she has made significant contributions that have further strengthened both the company’s HR function and its overall business. Meghan earned her BA in American Studies from the University of Notre Dame

Gib Bourk is Vice President and General Counsel for PBI-Gordon Companies and its subsidiaries, PBI-Gordon Corporation, Pegasus Laboratories, and PetAg, Inc.

Bourk joined PBI in 2019 as the senior director of the PBI legal department. Since then, has led several initiatives — including the creation of the holding company PBI-Gordon Companies. During his time with the company, he has been recognized by the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors for excellent judgment and insightful, strategic, and trusted advice. Gib reports directly to Steve Clifford, president and CEO of PBI-Gordon Companies.

Mr. Bourk holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Kansas State University and a Juris Doctor from Washburn University School of Law. He is a member of The Association of Corporate Counsel, Mid-America Chapter; and The CropLife America Law Committee.

Rick Blomquist is Vice President of Corporate Development for PBI-Gordon Companies, Inc. Previously, he served as Vice President and General Manager of PetAg, Inc., a subsidiary of PBI-Gordon Companies.

Rick joined the organization in June 2012 to lead the creation of the company’s over-the-counter animal health business unit. In 2013, he led the PBI-Gordon acquisition of PetAg, the animal health industry’s leading neonate nutrition business. The acquisition laid the foundation for the new PetAg business unit, and its subsequent growth has made PetAg a leader in the animal health industry.

Rick has vast experience in both the companion animal and equine markets from a 29-year career with Farnam Companies where he served as president and CEO. He was also president of Consumer Branded Products for the Central Life Sciences division of Central Garden and Pet. Throughout his nearly three-decades with Farnam Companies, Rick led many of the company’s new product and business development initiatives and added numerous industry leading brands to their portfolio.

Rick earned a bachelor’s degree of science in business administration from the W.A. Franke College of Business at Northern Arizona University.

Neil Cleveland is Vice President and General Manager of PBI-Gordon Corporation, a subsidiary of PBI-Gordon Companies, Inc. Neil joined PBI-Gordon in 2018 following his retirement from the Bayer Corporation.

Neil spent 25 years with Bayer in various senior and executive management roles. Most recently, he served as director of commercial operations for the northern sales region for Bayer CropScience. In that role, he led the sales team and was responsible for development and implementation of the marketing strategy. He was also a major contributor to the organization’s US-based commercial operations leadership team. Neil initially joined Bayer in 1993 as a senior sales representative focused on turf, ornamental and pest control products.Neil also has a strong connection and experience with the commercial lawn care industry. He launched his career with ChemLawn Services, spending 12 years with the company in increasing leadership roles.

Neil is a graduate of Delaware Valley College of Science & Agriculture with a bachelor degree of science in agronomy. He currently serves on the board of directors of RISE (Responsible Industry for a Sound Environment).

Joyce is recognized leader in animal health, having held executive leadership positions in a wide range of commercial and global functions, including general management, strategy, sales, marketing, R&D, engineering, manufacturing, and IT.   Prior to joining Pegasus, Joyce served as Chief Executive of Cobb Vantress LLC, where she oversaw global business impacting more than 30% of the world’s poultry consumption. Her prior executive experience includes leadership roles in the companion animal industry at Elanco, Zoetis, Bayer, and Pfizer, where she helped launch and grow multiple successful businesses. Joyce holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Baylor University and an MBA in Healthcare Administration from Jacksonville University.

Beyond her corporate leadership, Joyce is deeply engaged and serves on several boards and enjoys spending time with family, staying active through outdoor activities, watching sports, and reading.

Vincent Biroscak serves as Vice President & General Manager of PetAg, Inc. He joined PBI-Gordon Companies in August 2023, bringing exceptional cross-functional knowledge and expertise to the team in the Companion Animal Health and Human Supplements Categories.

Vincent began his career in accounting with Arthur Andersen, where he spent eight years and earned his CPA before making a career change into marketing. In 2000, he joined Nestlé Purina PetCare in St Louis, where he spent nearly twenty years leading iconic brands in the pet food category, including Friskies, Fancy Feast, and Purina Cat Chow, as well as Purina’s veterinary therapeutic nutrition business. In 2020, Vincent moved into the human nutrition space as Vice President of Marketing for Glanbia Performance Nutrition, where he led the performance nutrition portfolio that included protein powders, bars, and energy drinks. Prior to joining PBI-Gordon Companies, Vincent worked as a strategic marketing consultant across a wide range of consumer packaged goods organizations.

Vincent earned his MBA from the University of Michigan, and his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University, and works out of PetAg headquarters in Hampshire, IL.
