Plant Growth Regulator
Recommendations
To eliminate seedheads and reduce mowing on golf courses, fairways, cemeteries and parks. Trimming applications around headstones, sign posts, fence lines, and trees. Reduce trimming of hedges and ornamental plantings. Suppress fruit production of ornamental olive trees. |
Using Embark 2-S IVM Plant Growth Regulator on low maintenance turf can give you and your budget a break of two months or more from regularly scheduled mowings. This can be especially significant where mowing may be difficult or hazardous, as on highway medians, airport flight paths, steep embankments or distant or heavy traffic sites.
Applying Embark 2-S IVM in conjunction with initial string trimming around headstones, guardrails, signposts, fence lines, and trees can reduce the frequency of this tedious, time-consuming task by 50% or more.
Applied within four weeks after green-up in the spring, this PGR also inhibits seedhead development. Eliminating unsightly stems and seedheads alone improves the appearance of turfgrass stands and reduces the necessity of mowing in many industrial turf situations. Additionally, seedhead suppression keeps plants from losing the energy involved in the reproductive cycle resulting in greener, healthier looking turf after the PGR affects wear off.
Embark 2-S IVM alone or in tank mixtures can result in a reduction of more than 50% of the normal grass growth and clippings. This keeps the strewn clippings off of your sites and takes the stress out of your mowing schedule! - Highest concentration of mefluidide in a single product formulation.
- Lower cost per acre compared to mowing.
- Reduces vertical growth of grasses, allowing mowings to be postponed for up to 2 months.
- Best seedhead suppression of any PGR.
- Root development and stand density not adversely affected.
- Recommended to be applied with other PGRs and certain turf herbicides.
